A Brief Synopsis

1960 is a difficult year for Seymour Krelbourn, a down and out florists assistant, with an interest in weird and exotic plants. Seymour works alongside Audrey at Mushnik's Skid Row florists. Business isn't good so Seymour and Audrey suggest putting one of Seymour's exotic plants in the window to attrct business. Seymour names the plant after the girl he loves, he calls it an Audrey II.

To Seymour's horror he discovers the plant has an appetite for fresh blood, so he begins to feed it his own! When the Audrey II starts to attract attention Mushnik's and Seymour become an overnight sensation.

As Audrey II grows so does it's appetite and Seymour makes a faustian pact with the plant to provide fresh blood in exchange for fame, fortune and the girl he loves.

When Audrey's sadistic boyfriend, Doctor Orin Scrivello, 'mysteriously disappears' Mushnik begin's to smell a rat and it's not long before things begin to spiral out of control!

It Soon becomes clear that the ill-tempered, foul-mouthed plant from outer space plans to take over the world!
